The first edition of K China Symposium was successfully held on 23rd March 2023. Expectations were achieved!

The first edition of K China Symposium was successfully held on 23rd March 2023 at the Shanghai International Convention Centre. It was fully supported by Messe Düsseldorf, the organizer of K, and a strong joint effort of Messe Düsseldorf (China) Co., Ltd., China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, China Synthetic Resin Supply and Sale Association, and China Plastics Processing Industry Association.

The professionals were excited to meet at K China Symposium again when K closed in 26th October 2022. More than 10 excellent presentations were introduced, providing a comprehensive analysis of the pattern and prospects of the rubber and plastics industry in Asia and the world. The most cutting-edge technology and solutions were presented to over 150 professional participants. More than 20 industry media representatives attended on-site, and over 40 media enthusiastically reported about the symposium.

“In early 2023, many industries and economy have rebounded rapidly since the release of epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as herd immunity in China. Besides, various government policies definitely boost the rubber and plastic industry. I believe that the rubber and plastics industry will obtain more brilliant achievements this year,” said Evian Gu, Division Director of Messe Düsseldorf (China) Co., Ltd., “Made-in-China plays a significant role in the international rubber and plastics industry, we are confident that it will be more competitive in the global market in the future!” she added.

Thomas Franken, the project director of K sent his greetings by video, he also shared: "K in Düsseldorf has once again fulfilled highest expectations. It continues to be the most international, complete and innovative trade fair of the global plastics industry. The variety of solutions, machines and products for the transformation towards a circular economy presented at the show was incredible. Last year the circumstances regarding Covid in China were even more restrictive, for example making it more difficult for participants from China to travel to Düsseldorf than all other nations. For this reason, we were very happy about the great response from China. Despite the mentioned difficulties, the exhibition space for Chinese exhibitors has even grown slightly to more than 9,300 sqm. So, we are very proud of this great commitment from the Chinese plastics and rubber industry."

Three influential plastics associations gave brilliant speeches at the symposium. The honorable speakers were: Dongping Su, Executive Deputy President of China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, Kai Zheng, President of China Synthetic Resin Supply and Sale Association, HongWen Jiao, Secretary General of China Plastics Processing Industry Association. They passionately shared information that the current status of the industry, and how future trends would develop.
